Artech is known for its dramatic, elliptical design created by famed architect Carlos Ott. This unique architecture which resembles the shape of a cruise ship has presented many challenges to Coscan's construction team. The elliptical shape in both the horizontal and vertical direction has required exacting quality standards from the structural trades. A large quality control team of field engineers has been deployed by Coscan's management team to work closely with the trade contractors to check and re-check each structural component prior to concrete pours. Additionally unusually tight site constraints within this highly populated neighborhood have required efficient site utilization, well planned delivery schedules, and high safety standards to protect the public.
